The Dayton area has some great concert venues where fans can
go and listen to the best local music the Miami Valley has to offer. Venues Jazz
Central, Gilly’s, and Canal Street Tavern just to name a few are one reason
Dayton is one of the state’s best music scenes. While we love all these places
it is always good to hear of a new venue opening to highlight the area’s best talent.
Buckeye Music Magaizne is proud to introduce you to the Miami Valley’s newest
concert venues called Ledoux’s Live Room located in Downtown Troy, OH. Buckeye
Music Magazine was invited for a sneak peak of the venue by Brad Centers and
Brad Denson of the Miami Valley Music Fest. Denson is heading up the project
and Brad was kind enough to show us around and share his vision for the venue.
Ledoux’s Live Room is located at 118 W. Main Street in Troy,
OH and as Brad explains, there is more to Ledoux’s than meets the eye, “The
front of the building is Ledoux’s Cajun Grill; restaurant by day live music
venue by night.” The restaurant itself is huge with plenty of elbow room and as
you walk past the huge bar and into the band room you realize why Brad is so excited
about this new project. Brad says, “I think that in the band room alone we can
get 100 plus people and the rest of the bar is big enough to hold another 200 and
another 100 people on the back patio. The patio area will be geared toward the
summer for acoustic acts. The venue is in nice Downtown Troy which is
starting to pick up as far as the hipness of it with the Leaf and Vine opening
up that also is offering live music.”

When you walk into the Live Room you can’t help but envision
having a big blow-out in this place. The stage is huge compared to many in the area
and the venue will be equipped with a full bar, sound system, and a massive
dance floor. The patio area is going to be one of the best summer spots in the Miami
Valley and rumor has it that the guys are going to add a tiki bar as well. I
asked Denson what bands need to know if they are interest in getting booked at
Ledoux’s Live Room. Brad says, “Just contact Brad Denson at
bjdenson@woh.rr.com or give me a call at
937-875-0525 and you can look us up at Ledoux’s Live Room on Facebook. We are
going to specialize in original acts and that is not just limited to bands but
performing arts or anyone who is interested in showcasing their talents; we are
open minded about getting whatever we can here that has to do with the arts.
The owner has also got a real open mind and he is willing to go through this
little experiment with me so it’s cool.” Brad is putting the final touches on
the venue and the first gig is scheduled for January 7 with the band to be
announced soon. Be sure to stay logged into Buckeye Music Magazine for all the
events that will be taking place at this great venue throughout 2012. Our thanks
to Brad Denson and Brad Centers for this sneak peak of Ledoux’s Live Room. We
plan on making this our home away from home.
